Privacy policy

What we collect

Nothing. Nutrition Solver has no backend, no database, no analytics account, and no third party tracking scripts. We do not log IP addresses, we do not set tracking cookies, and we do not fingerprint your browser. The web server logs that host this site may record standard request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention, but we do not use this data for analytics or profiling.

What stays in your browser

When you use the meal builder, calculator inputs, or restaurant filters, that data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, not associated with any account, and not used for analytics. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage or by clicking the clear button in the meal builder.

The specific localStorage keys we use are:

• nf-meal-items for your meal builder selections
• nf-meal-goal for your daily calorie goal
• nf-cookie-ack to remember that you dismissed the cookie banner
• nf-announcement-dismissed to remember that you dismissed the announcement bar (session storage only)

Cookies

We do not set any tracking cookies. The only client side storage we use is localStorage, listed above. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or social media cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because there are no cookies to consent to. The small banner that appears on first visit is just a transparency notice.

Third party services

Nutrition Solver loads no third party scripts. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Google AdSense, or any other advertising or analytics network. The site is served entirely from our own static hosting.

Chart.js is loaded locally (not from a CDN) only on food detail pages that display a macro chart, and only when the chart is about to scroll into view. Pagefind search runs entirely against a static index built at deploy time.

Children

Nutrition Solver is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and revise the policy below. We will never quietly add tracking or change the fundamental privacy first nature of the site without clear notice.
