MOD Pizza works differently from a traditional pizza menu.
You can choose a signature pizza or start from scratch, select your size and crust, choose a sauce and cheese, add as many toppings as you want, and finish the pizza with another sauce or seasoning. Because the price does not increase with every standard topping, two pizzas that cost the same can have very different calories and macros.
Use the MOD Pizza Calories Calculator above to compare signature pizzas or calculate the nutrition of the exact pizza, salad, toppings, and dessert you order.
MOD Pizza Nutrition Starts With the Size
MOD currently uses three main pizza formats:
Mini: 6-inch pizza
MOD: 11-inch pizza
Mega: 11-inch pizza with a thicker crust
These are not simply Small, Medium, and Large versions of the exact same base.
The Mega uses a thicker crust, while the Mini uses a much smaller 6-inch crust. That means the size selection changes the nutrition before any sauce, cheese, meat, or vegetables are added.
For a custom pizza, always choose the size first.
Mega Is About Crust Thickness, Not a Wider Pizza
The name Mega can be misleading if you expect a much wider pizza.
MOD describes both its standard MOD pizza and Mega as 11 inches. The difference is that Mega uses a much thicker crust.
MOD's July 2026 nutrition information lists approximately:
Mini 6-inch crust: 200 calories
MOD 11-inch thin crust: 467 calories
Mega 11-inch thick crust: 933 calories
That means switching from MOD to Mega can make a major difference before the toppings change at all.
Choose a Signature Pizza or Build Your Own
MOD currently offers individually sized signature pizzas alongside its Unlimited Toppings build-your-own option.
Current signatures include:
Caspian
Calexico
Dillon James
Jasper
Lucy Sunshine
Dominic
Tristan
Mad Dog
Cheese, also called The Maddy
Each one uses its own combination of sauces, cheeses, meats, vegetables, and finishing ingredients.
If you order the standard recipe without major changes, use the nutrition for that complete pizza.
If you customize it heavily, ingredient-level calculation becomes more useful.
Signature Pizza Calories Differ Even at the Same Size
The current official July 2026 nutrition information lists the standard MOD-size versions at approximately:
|
Signature Pizza |
MOD Size Calories |
|
Dominic |
700 |
|
The Maddy |
710 |
|
Jasper |
790 |
|
Lucy Sunshine |
820 |
|
Dillon James |
830 |
|
Calexico |
860 |
|
Tristan |
890 |
|
Caspian |
970 |
|
Mad Dog |
980 |
These calorie differences come from the complete recipe.
Mad Dog combines tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and seasoned ground beef.
Caspian uses BBQ sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola, chicken, red onion, and a BBQ finish.
Dominic uses Alfredo sauce, basil, Asiago, sausage, onion, and tomatoes.
The pizza name therefore tells you much more than simply whether the pizza contains meat or vegetables.
Unlimited Toppings Make Ingredient-Level Calculation Especially Useful
MOD's defining feature is the ability to customize from more than 40 toppings for one price.
From a nutrition perspective, however, unlimited toppings do not mean unlimited toppings have the same effect.
Adding:
basil + mushrooms + spinach
is very different from adding:
sausage + ground beef + bacon + extra cheese
even if MOD charges the same menu price.
This makes a real nutrition calculator much more useful than a fixed list of pizzas.
A custom MOD pizza should be calculated in this order:
Size and crust
Sauce
Cheese
Meat or plant-based protein
Vegetables and other toppings
Finishing sauce
Sauce Can Be Almost Negligible or a Major Addition
MOD's sauce choices vary significantly.
The current menu lists approximately:
Tomato Sauce: 5 calories per tablespoon
Spicy Tomato Sauce: 12 calories
Creamy Alfredo Sauce: 15 calories
Sriracha: 25 calories
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: 120 calories
The difference is substantial.
A pizza with a traditional tomato sauce starts very differently from one using a larger amount of oil-based sauce.
Sauce should therefore be a visible calculator selection, not hidden inside a generic build-your-own pizza.
Cheese Choice Changes More Than Flavor
MOD offers several cheese choices and cheese alternatives.
Current menu values per listed ¼-cup portion include approximately:
Feta: 70 calories
Dairy-Free Cheese: 80 calories
Mozzarella: 90 calories
Gorgonzola: 100 calories
Ricotta: 100 calories
Asiago: 110 calories
Cheddar: 110 calories
Parmesan: 130 calories
If you combine several cheeses, each one contributes to the finished pizza.
For example:
mozzarella + feta + Parmesan
should not have the same nutrition as mozzarella alone.
Meat Toppings Have Very Different Calorie Density
The same principle becomes even more noticeable with meat toppings.
Current MOD values per listed portion include approximately:
Anchovies: 30 calories
Pepperoni: 50 calories
Canadian Bacon: 50 calories
Grilled Chicken: 70 calories
Salami: 90 calories
Spicy Chicken Sausage: 90 calories
Plant-Based Italian Sausage: 90 calories
Bacon: 140 calories
Ground Beef: 210 calories
Mild Italian Sausage: 240 calories
This means adding two or three meat toppings can change a pizza substantially even though MOD's unlimited-toppings pricing makes those choices feel financially equivalent.
Vegetables Range From Nearly Zero to More Substantial Additions
Most vegetable toppings add fewer calories than sausage or ground beef, but they are not all identical.
Current MOD values include approximately:
Arugula: 0 calories
Basil: 0 calories
Mushrooms: 0 calories
Spinach: 0 calories
Green Bell Peppers: 5 calories
Jalapeños: 5 calories
Red Onion: 10 calories
Tomatoes: 20 calories
Artichokes: 30 calories
Pineapple: 40 calories
Black Olives: 50 calories
Chickpeas: 50 calories
Roasted Garlic: 60 calories
If you are creating a custom pizza, use the actual toppings rather than assigning one generic value to “vegetables.”
Finishing Sauce Comes After the Pizza Is Built
MOD also lets customers finish pizzas with sauces and seasonings after the main toppings are added.
This is an important difference from pizza chains where the sauce appears only underneath the cheese.
A finishing sauce can contribute additional calories, carbs, sugar, fat, or sodium.
For the most accurate estimate, calculate:
Pizza recipe + finishing sauce
rather than stopping when the toppings are added.
Gluten-Friendly and Cauliflower Crust Need Separate Nutrition
MOD currently offers both a gluten-friendly crust and a cauliflower crust in addition to its standard crusts.
The July 2026 official nutrition information lists approximately:
Gluten-Friendly Crust: 650 calories
Cauliflower Crust: 520 calories
These should be treated as separate pizza bases.
Do not assume a cauliflower crust is automatically the lowest-calorie MOD option, and do not calculate the gluten-friendly crust by simply removing wheat nutrition from the regular pizza.
The complete crust recipe determines the value.
MOD also states that all pizzas are prepared on a shared serving line, so none of its crust options are recommended for people with gluten sensitivity based solely on the gluten-friendly name.
Salads Are a Major Missing Part of a MOD Nutrition Calculator
MOD does not only sell pizza.
The current menu includes four signature salads:
Caesar
Garden
Greek
Italian Chop
The current MOD entrée-size values are approximately:
Garden: 219 calories
Greek: 295 calories
Italian Chop: 357 calories
Caesar: 446 calories
MOD also lets customers create customized salads using many of the same toppings available for pizza.
That means the restaurant really has two build-your-own systems:
Build a pizza
and
Build a salad
A comprehensive nutrition calculator should support both.
Mini Salad and MOD Salad Are Different Serving Types
MOD uses different salad sizes for different purposes.
The Mini is positioned as a side, while the MOD size is an entrée.
For example:
Mini Caesar: about 223 calories
MOD Caesar: about 446 calories
Mini Garden: about 109 calories
MOD Garden: about 219 calories
The portion label should always appear in the item name so a side salad is not confused with a complete entrée salad.
A Mini Pizza and Mini Salad Can Form a Lunch Combo
Some current locations offer a MOD Lunch Combo combining an unlimited-topping Mini Pizza with a Mini Salad.
That creates another useful meal-builder scenario.
Instead of showing one average Lunch Combo number, the calculator should let the user select:
Mini pizza recipe
plus
Mini salad recipe
because the total can vary considerably depending on both choices.
Kids Meals Need the Pizza and Beverage
MOD's current Kids Meal includes a Mini cheese or pepperoni pizza with organic juice or milk.
The official menu gives the complete meal a range of approximately 365 to 480 calories , depending on the selections.
This should ideally work as:
Mini cheese or pepperoni pizza + selected kids drink
rather than one fixed number for every Kids Meal.
No Name Cake Has Changed Slightly
The classic No Name Cake is one of MOD's most recognizable desserts.
MOD's current July 2026 nutrition information lists the standard No Name Cake at approximately:
290 calories
MOD also currently offers a limited-edition Strawberry Lemonade No Name Cake at approximately:
330 calories .
Dessert versions should have separate records rather than one generic No Name Cake entry.
The Mega Cookie Is Designed for Sharing
The current Mega Cookie contains approximately:
1,610 calories
The name reflects the serving size.
It should not be interpreted like an ordinary single cookie without checking how much of it is actually eaten.
If several people share it, calculate your approximate portion rather than assigning yourself the nutrition for the entire cookie.
Limited-Time Pizzas Need Their Own Status
MOD currently features Mike's Favorite Pizza as a limited-time item.
Its July 2026 nutrition information lists the standard pizza at approximately:
990 calories
The current recipe combines tomato sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, ricotta, spicy chicken sausage, jalapeños, and a Mike's Hot Honey finish.
Limited-time pizzas should be kept separate from permanent signatures so older promotional products do not look like permanent MOD menu choices.

Build the MOD Order You Actually Create
MOD nutrition makes the most sense when the calculator follows the same process as the restaurant.
Start with the Mini, MOD, or Mega size and choose the exact crust .
Then add the sauce, cheese, proteins, vegetables, other toppings, and finishing sauce .
For salads, build the entrée from the greens and toppings you select.
Finally, add any Kids Meal components, drink, No Name Cake, or Mega Cookie that is part of the order.
That creates a much more useful MOD Pizza nutrition result than relying on one generic calorie number for a pizza.
